In fact the one I have, the Logitech Extreme 3D pro ($30-40), is the only joystick I ever saw from any manufacturer in a physical store and that store has since gone under. Even here the Force 3d Pro is $60 and I only saw it online. I have to admit, even in the States it's getting harder to find joysticks, especially in brick and mortar stores.
I'd say with the vista drivers you stand a decent chance of the joystick working - not a bad price for all of that regardless! I found the newer Logitech Force 3D pro selling over the counter, but at $100, it's way out of my price-range. PS: There are very few stores selling joysticks these days. Leifern: Thanks for the Response, psycho_mike.
Well, I ended up paying $30 for the Joystick, a Sidewinder Freestyle Pro Gamepad and a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 webcam (:P) so, I'm not complaining.
If it doesn't work out I'll set up a dual-boot with XP and install my joystick-games on that partition instead.īut, i would think that it should work with vista-drivers.? Isn't it pretty much the same thing? I DID find Vista32-drivers on Logitechs sites so i decided to gvie it a shot. He said he had only found a XP-driver, and couldn't get it to work. He said he had paid roughly $300 for it when it was new. Damn you're right a quick search revealed that the sellers shipping to Norway for the joystick Waiwulf and I use was on the high end, though not unreasonable, for the base price but wanted an exorbitant amount for shipping.īest of luck. if the guy told you that then in all likelihood he is telling the truth (in fact a better than even chance that is why he is selling it). I take it no local Norwegian electronic stores (or gaming stores?) sell joysticks? Maybe you should ask the guy where he got his joystick from? Unless he himself paid a small fortune for it, he might know a store where you can buy them from.Ĭrazy_dave: That's really unfortunate. Damn you're right a quick search revealed that the sellers shipping to Norway for the joystick Waiwulf and I use was on the high end, though not unreasonable, for the base price but wanted an exorbitant amount for shipping. The problem with buying a cheap joystick is that joysticks will have to be ordered online here (in Norway), and if the joystick costs $40-60, the shipping would come to about $20-30. I guess i should take his word for it, but i just don't see why it shouldn't work. I just got a respons from the guy selling it that it didn't work for him in Win7 32bit. Leifern: Well, the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is still being produced, and Wingman Force was disontinued quite some time ago, if I'm not mistaken.
